Q: What applications can I use these filters in?
A: Please take a look at the Mininum Requirements page for the most current information on what operating systems and applications are supported.
Q: Do they work in Photoshop CS4?
A: For Macintosh users they do! However for Windows users working with CS4 on a 64-bit Operating System, they do not work at this time but we're currently in development on a 64-bit native version we hope to release very soon.
Q: How do the filters work?
A: By using our newly created easy to use GUI plug-in interface, you can select and apply any of the 240+ texture effects to your image with a host of powerful fine tuning controls.
Q: When I apply the filter, is it undoable?
A: Yes it is by using the Undo command or via the Photoshop History palette. That said, with our new automation controls you can now apply the result to a newly created layer or apply the Wash Effect to the mask layer leaving the original untouched.
Q: Do the filters work in other any applications?
A: Please take a look at the Mininum Requirements page for the most current information on what operating systems and applications are supported.
Q: Can I use the filters with Vector EPS Images?
A: We have received numerous e-mails in regards to how Machine Wash Filters may be used on spot color designs or with vector (EPS) artwork in Adobe Illustrator, particularly in regards to creating designs for seperations. Click here to read our tutorial that explains how to do this.
Q: How do I install the filter?
A: Download and install the filter which is freely available Here. If you need any help or additional information, links are provided on the download page.
Q: How do I get the cool rusted background effect?
A: Within the plug-in interface, there is a Background tabbed section which will create a host of realistic background effects underneath the design. You can easily customize the coloration of the effect to your choosing as well.

Q: What can I use these filters for?
A: What CAN'T you use these filters for?!? We knew you'd want the flexibility to use them for high resolution print projects as well as screen resolution web projects! Use the Machine Wash Image filters whenever you're working with a design that could use a tactile textured look. Logos, apparel, advertisments, brochures, websites, plus so much more - You're only limited by your imagination, now that you have the tools.
Q: Are the filters customizable?
A: You can create your own presets or expand any of our custom designed factory presets!
Q: Where did you come up with such a cool product idea?

Q: What is the maximum size I can use these filters at?
A: They are designed to be used at a maximum live area of 18" x 18" at 300 dpi but they can be used for larger sized images as well but you will see a performance drop. For most projects, we find these sizes are more than adequate for your needs.
Q: Will these work on my Macintosh/Windows computer? What OS?
A: You bet! Please take a look at the Mininum Requirements page for the most current information on what operating systems and applications are supported.
Q: Are there any restrictions on the usage of these filters?
A: If you are creating a property for broadcast media including animation, credits, titling, production asstes, etc., AND/OR if you are developing a video game and require the use of the textures provided in the collection(s) in whole or in part, you must contact us for express written permission for these uses. In addition, you may also be required to purchase additional licensing for these purposes.
In addition if you wish to create products for sale such as digital or printed scrapbook layounts where the results of the filters are the primary design of the image, additional licensing is required. As a general rule of thumb, any image you create that primarily consists of the results of the filters requires additional licensing if you wish to resell it. If you're not sure if your design violates this restricton, please contact us and we'll be happy to let you know.
