Vintage offset printing and ink effects for any design, photograph, type treatment or image in Photoshop.
Q: What applications can I use these filters in?
A: This filter has been developed and tested for use with Adobe Photoshop CS2, CS3, and CS4 as well Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Elements 4.0 or higher*

Q: Does it work on Intel Macintosh systems?
A: Yes it does as well as non-Intel PPC Macintosh systems using OS X 10.4 and higher.

Q: How do the filters work?
A: Permanent Press features five different tabbed sections of the GUI interface which gives you powerful control to create an endless combination of authentic vintage offset printing effects!

Q: When I apply the filter, is it undoable?
A: Yes it is! By using the Undo command or the Photoshop History palette, you can undo the Permanent Press effect.

Q: Do the filters work in other any applications?
A: * Windows Users Only: Permanent Press for Windows is also compatible with earlier Windows and Adobe releases as well as the following image editing applications: ACD PhotoEditor, Corel Photo-Paint 13, Corel PaintShopProX, Just PaintShopPro 8, Xara Picture Editor 3, GIMP 2, Ulead PhotoImpact and Macromedia Fireworks 8

Q: How do I install the filter?
A: After purchase, you'll download and run the filter installer application. Once installed, you will need to register and activate your plug-in using the activation key you received at the time of purchase which will arrive via e-mail as well. If you don't have an internet connection, you can also activate the plug-in offline as well.

Q: What can I use these filters for?
A: What CAN'T you use these filters for?!? We knew you'd want the flexibility to use them for high resolution print projects as well as screen resolution web projects! Use the Permanent Press whenever you're working with a design that could use a tactile textured look. Logos, apparel, advertisements, brochures, websites, plus so much more - You're only limited by your imagination, now that you have the tools.

Q: Is Permanent Press customizable?
A: You bet it is! We've made it easy for you to create and save presets to reproduce your favorite effects over and over again on any image. Also, you have the ability to create and apply your own ink textures as well as download new texture and presets online from the plug-in!

Q: Where did you come up with such a cool product idea?
A: After the explosive growth of the Machine Wash Image Filters, we spent some time looking for the next big thing in the design world and found the tactile aesthetic was getting more sophisticated.

Realizing that printing technology has left printed work sterile and without the texture, soul, or the spirit of vintage offset printing, we felt it was important to re-introduce them to the modern designers toolbox and joined forces with our friend and amazingly talented developer Maxim at Alpha Plug-ins to make our dream a reality!

Q: Will these work on my Macintosh/Windows computer? What OS?
A: Macintosh Users will need a Macintosh with a PowerPC or Intel processor that runs Mac OS X 10.4 or later. We also recommend at least 256 megabytes of RAM, 1 Gigabyte of RAM recommended, 12-bit (4096) display color; true color (16.7M colors) recommended, 640 x 480 display resolution; 800 x 600 or better recommended.

Windows users will need a computer with a 1.2 GHz Pentium processor or higher that runs Windows OS 2000, XP, Vista32 and 64 or later. We also recommend at least 256 megabytes of RAM, 1 Gigabyte of RAM recommended, 16-bit (65535 colors) display color; true color (16.7M colors) recommended, 640 x 480 display resolution; 800 x 600 or better recommended.

Q: Are there any restrictions on the usage of these filters?
A: The basic End User License Agreement does not prohibit any special uses, only in situations related to seat or user licensing.
